Job opportunity: Assistant for the House in Kyiv
The Danish Cultural Institute is looking for a new colleague to join our team in Kyiv! The Ukrainian-Danish Youth House is seeking a new colleague to assist in running our beautiful space in the center of Kyiv.
As our House Assistant, you will be part of the Danish Cultural Institute’s team in Kyiv. You will help the House team manage bookings for the space, communicate with the creators and guests who use it, and be a positive presence in this unique building.
You will get involved in the daily activities at the Youth House, coordinate practical and administrative tasks, and support events. This is a job for someone who likes a variety of tasks, is service-minded and loves making people feel welcome, and can make sure things get done. As it is a part-time job, it is perfect for someone who is still studying and who has a flexible schedule.
You will be part of a team of dedicated employees in Kyiv, working closely with colleagues in both Mykolaiv and Denmark.
About us:
The Ukrainian-Danish Youth House is a project that supports youth participation, democracy, and creativity. We offer a creative, democratic platform to support youth projects, culture, and activism across our countries, with two free, available youth spaces in Kyiv and Mykolaiv, as well as our flagship trainings, international seminars, and grant program. The Youth House is formally steered by a consortium consisting of the Danish Youth Council and the Danish Cultural Institute.
Tasks:
- Coordinating bookings of the Youth House in Kyiv
- Communicating with creators and partners who use the space
- Optimizing our workflow and improving administrative processes
- Introducing users to our space and its possibilities
- Support events and activities in the Youth House
- Support colleagues with the implementation of Youth House programs
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications required:
- Service-mindedness and welcoming mindset
- Stringent and professional approach to tasks and coordination
- Organized and comfortable with administrative systems
- Strong command of written and spoken Ukrainian and English (minimum intermediate)
- Flexible schedule for evening and weekend work
- A strong drive for positive changes and an inclusive society
What we offer:
- 20-hour workweek (on average)

- A one-year full-time position with the possibility of prolongation
- Salary starting from 300 EUR/month (net)
