Are you systematic, technical, and good at keeping the overview? We are looking for a sharp person to ensure good, transparent processes in support of youth projects in Ukraine. 

Use your administrative skills to support youth in Ukraine! The Ukrainian-Danish Youth House is looking for a Grant Coordinator who will be the point of contact for our grant programs.

Each year, we give more than 160.000 EUR to youth projects implemented across Ukraine, and we are looking for a key person to manage this important support. As our Grant Coordinator, you will be part of the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House’s small and dynamic administration team. You will manage the different aspects of the grant processes, from the open call and communicating with youth organizations, through coordinating with external assessors, selection committee, follow-up support, and reporting. We are in the process of implementing the grant management system GrantOne, and you will be in close cooperation with colleagues in Copenhagen to make sure everything unfolds correctly.

As we are an organization in development, you will get the opportunity to make an impact on our processes and be part of the strengthening of our good practices and efficient workflows. The atmosphere in the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House is also very much created by the team working there, so we are looking for a colleague who also likes to feel part of a group and a bigger mission, and who can represent the Youth House towards the youth and partners.

You will be part of a team of young and dedicated employees in Kyiv and working closely with colleagues both in Ukraine and in Denmark.

About us:

The Ukrainian-Danish Youth House is a platform for young people from Ukraine and Denmark that supports youth participation, democracy, and creativity. Based in Kyiv, we offer a creative, democratic platform for everyone between 16 and 35 years of age to engage, facilitate, and support youth projects and activism across our countries. Since 2021 we have done this by making the Youth House available for youth-led activities, through our own activities and programs, through supporting youth organizations, and through our grants. The Youth House is formally steered by a consortium consisting of the Danish Youth Council and the Danish Cultural Institute.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the grant process from application to report
  • Communicate with applicants, grantees, and partners
  • Prepare and instruct assessors and selection committee
  • Prepare monitoring visits and follow-up communication with grantees
  • Ensure that the grant programs align with the overall purpose of the Ukrainian-Danish Youth House
  • Coordinate with colleagues in Copenhagen about the implementation of the grant management system GrantOne
  • Ensure that the knowledge gained is documented and communicated
  • Represent the values and mission of the UDYH towards the visitors and community of the House
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications required:

  • Completed master’s degree in law, financial management, or similar
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar positions
  • Experience with full-cycle project or grant management
  • Stringent and professional approach to tasks and guidelines
  • Knowledge of Ukrainian civil society and funding landscape
  • Strong command of written and spoken Ukrainian and English (minimum intermediate)
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience working with youth engagement/youth development is an asset;
  • A strong drive for positive changes and an inclusive society.
  • Base in Kyiv
