What are we looking for?

We are young and encouraged to help. According to our values, we are looking forward to being involved in the global movement of charity activities, we discovered that spreading love and care become the sense of our lives, and we won't stop. It is important for us to find and cooperate with like-minded people with whom we can share experiences, learn from each other and become stronger together. We want to show ourselves to the world and invite partners to cooperate. Furthermore, we are going through the process of transformation and systematization of our activities.

We have a huge dream... We want to create a nursing home! And as sad as it is, we expect an increase in the number of orphaned children. Therefore, we want to create orphanages in which children will grow up happy & healthy, and will modern education relevant to the demands of the modern world, high-quality nutrition and a large number of developmental activities and art.

So collecting and implementing experience and knowledge will significantly help us create a better future for our children, and ensure a dignified old age for our grandparents. We are looking for partners and friends!

Location: The headquarter is in Kyiv. We support people throughout the territory controlled by Ukraine.

WHO ARE WE?

ONUKY charity initiative is aimed at helping civilians. Since February 26, we have helped 12 957 people all around
Ukraine.

We help:

  • elderly people left alone
  • people with disabilities and serious illnesses
  • newborns
  • large and low-income families
  • internally displaced families.

We gather requests for assistance through:
- ONUKY hotline
- ONUKY Google-forms
Requests for assistance are processed by coordinators who specify the situation in which the person or family is, and the reason for receiving assistance. The person who is asking for assistance has to provide photo proofs or the document on the basis of which the assistance is required.

All the requests are accompanied by photo reports of successful delivery.

AS FOR AUGUST 4, we've managed to provide assistance for 12 957 people (3 192 of them are children) in 134 cities and villages in such regions of Ukraine: Odesa, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Poltava, Rivne, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolayiv, Khmelnytsk, Kherson, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Luhansk, Donetsk, Sumy, Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi.

We fulfil requests in Kyiv and in most regions of Ukraine, using postal services "Nova Poshta" and "Ukrposhta".

The number of people we take care of: Kyiv - 7 760. Other regions of Ukraine - 5 197.

ONUKY takes care of the elderly who are especially in need of support. We provide individual assistance upon request - food, ready meals (if it is not possible to cook), hygiene products and medicines. We also take care of their well-being by helping with their household chores. If necessary, we organize medical examinations and transportation to a hospital or safer place.

Among people under our care are children and adults with disabilities and serious illnesses. These are people who need specific medications and have no access to the proper medications, so it can cost lives for them.

LARGE FAMILIES AND NEWBORNS
In order for the next generations of grandchildren to continue to spread good things in the world, we strive to encourage them by our own example. When we take care of our future grandchildren, we provide them with food, including baby food, hygiene products and medicines.

Since the beginning of our activity, we have helped 3 192 children.

INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS AND FAMILIES
We take care of internally displaced families and individuals because it is important for us to create a sense of home for those who have been forced to leave it. We provide everything necessary to cover the essential needs of life and increase the feeling of
comfort: food, hygiene products, medicines and more.

So far, we have helped 5 197 internally displaced persons.

WHAT WE PROVIDE
For our wards, we gather, and deliver in Kyiv or in other regions the following types of humanitarian aid:
1. FOOD PACKAGES: in which we provide different types of food products for the maximum nutritive value and diversity, and which are designed for 2-5 weeks.
2. CHILDREN PACKAGES: which includes baby food and children's hygiene
3. HYGIENE PACKAGE: which includes basic goods for the proper self-care
4. PACKAGE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES: which includes diapers and nappies

ONUKY PATRONAGE PROGRAMM
Coming to our elderlies, we noticed that there is something else that they need and dream about. It's warm conversations, hugs, and just a person nearby. Therefore, we are launching a new direction of our activity in Kyiv - "ONUKY patronage".

The initiative is aimed at lonely elderly people who have been left without support and out of society. To join, you have to fill out the form. Upon completed applications, our volunteers gather a group of people who responded and organize a personal meeting and acquaintance at our office. During the meeting, we provide the necessary information about our wards and their contacts, after which we discuss and mutually agree on all the details.

WHAT DRIVES US?

Love. Respect to human rights and dignity. The impossibility of standing aside and contemplating the horrors of war. Awareness that we can't save everyone, but we can do our part to reduce the amount of pain and suffering
